The Gallery Week

Last week, while also being Thanksgiving week, was unofficially the Gallery Opening Week-- La Galera had an opening, and Galeria On-ce [11] had its too. At La Galera I temporarilly lost my hat but I got it back a couple days later.
Galeria On-ce is the joint effort of Jack H. and my Dad to make a photo gallery. That's actually where I am -- the building's roughly a square, with almost one-quarter an outdoor bit that's just roofed with the same flat concrete one, then the three rooms take up almost all of it, with two little storage rooms and a bathroom in the remaining thin rectangle-- I'm in the room that borders on the back part: my Dad's office.

Huston, We Are Propping Up The Ganda

The other day, conversation in the car, listening to ... Cabo Mil I think.

Raido: *static static static* Entonces hay una obligacion social a ayudar en el dessarollo *dissolves in static*

Mom: What was that?

Me: *translating carefully* There is a social... um, I think it's obligaiton, yeah, obligaition to support development...

Mom: Well that's propaganda! What about the developement at the expense of the enviroment?!

Road Troubles- No End In Sight

By Dad's office (Galeria On.ce [11]) They ripped up the crosswalks [crossrocks] and put in... A vein of cement? How weird!

Traffic Accident

There was a traffic accident on the road to Cabo. A semi-trailer hauling a bulldozer and a dump truck-- I don't have many details yet, but apparently it was very nasty, blocked both lanes for four hours. This is why they are trying to spread road education-- I just wish the videos weren't so nasty!

Crossrocks update

All evidence of ripped-up crossrocks are gone. They don't seem like they're in any special hurry to clean up from when they made them, though.

Sayonara, Ex-Crosswalks!

Remember the crosswalks, made of rock and thus termed cross-rocks? Well, they had to hurry to get them done by Oct. 28-- so guess what! They're being ripped up.
AGAIN.
Am I the only one who thinks that workers and angry drivers in a hurry will be a permanent addition to the Main Street?
For the sake of local sanity, I hope so. How I hope so.
